Our Story

Anna’s on the Lake was founded in 2022, however, the coffee shop sits in a building with over 100 years of history. One of the few structures built with Cream City Brick in Kenosha and located right on Lake Michigan, the building itself is a must-visit landmark for anyone who spends time here. With a one of a kind view of the Kenosha harbor, Anna’s on the Lake is a destination spot straight out of a movie. Either come for a quick visit and have a delicious cup of coffee while enjoying the serene views of the lake or book a relaxing getaway and soak in the views for a little longer.

About Anna

This is Anna. She’s 25 years old and was born and raised right here in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She has a bunch of cousins, an older brother (Marty), and a twin sister (Natalie). Anna loves to spend time with her big family whether it be sharing a delicious meal together or gathered in our small warm living room filled with laughter and story telling. Anna is a caretaker and the best way she expresses that is through making delicious meals for her family. Oddly enough, Anna and Natalie would joke in high school about running a coffee shop in this very building we’re in now. After graduation, they spent a month in a car traveling all over the country, each morning involved figuring out where the nearest local coffee shop was located and where they were going for the next meal (We loved New Orleans and the coast of California). Anna’s hope is to take all of her favorite parts of the things she experienced during her travels and to use those bits in making Anna’s a destination you want to keep coming back to!

“… I’m also proud to report that the croissant is one of the best I’ve ever had at a cafe.”

Luke Olson, The Walters

“anna’s coffee is rich and a bold reminiscent of my favorite brews from my time in New York City to Los Angeles. Small town, Big taste.”
